PLC Programming Level 1 class in Las Vegas, Nevada is four days long and is the perfect course for you to get a solid introduction to PLC programming and our Control Logix 5000 system. Let’s take a closer look at what this entails!
Day 1
On the first day of this class we will go over the basic components of the Control Logix 5000 system. You will begin to understand common data types and editing principles. You will also be applying your new knowledge right away by creating a new controller project, configuring an Ethernet communications driver using RSLinks, and program basic relay instructions. The best way to learn is by being hands on and applying your knowledge!
Day 2
On the second day of this class you will be practicing how to program counter instructions, timer, math instructions, and conveyor motors logic. You will also learn how to handle expressions within the Control Logix 5000 system. Much of this day will be dedicated to practicing the basic skills you will need to move forward!
Day 3
On the third day of this course we will go over how to create a periodic task and an event task. We will practice more programming and understanding of data handling instructions, program control instructions, and file arithmetic and move instructions. Hopefully by this day in the course you will be feeling much more comfortable with working with the Control Logix 5000 system and basic programming!
Day 4
On the fourth and final day of this course we will continue practicing programming file arithmetic and move instructions as well as file search and compare instructions. On this day of the class you will also learn how to document and search Ladder Logic and how to program produced and consumed tags in RSLogix5000 to send bits over the ethernet. Additionally you will learn the basics of how to troubleshoot today’s manufacturing systems!
